Meet the Founder

Hi! My name is Brenda Williams and I am the founder of Divine Minds Academy (DMA).

I grew up with a passion for learning and reading, which developed into my passion for student growth and success. As a mother of eight, my teaching journey began at home with my children. It was here where I learned that students who enjoy learning, learn more and as often as possible. I then went on to teach outside the home in school and as a teacher and private tutor for over 30 years.

As a teacher, I witnessed too many young children crying, stressing, and having emotional breakdowns because they were not "getting it.” I wanted to see students excel in their learning endeavors with joy, success and without stress. These values have carried over to the mission of Divine Minds Academy.
